Much flooding often occurs because of problems from neighbouring countries. In publications often is spoken of the rising of the sea level, whereas most incidents we know, are mainly caused by the flooding of rivers.
Employees of Nanoc Inspecties BV have done research, way back commissioned by the safety region Rotterdam Rijnmond, to the risks of flooding for the chemical industry. In cooperation with RIVM, waterboards and provinces the risks have been inventoried.
